Watershed Tour - July 17th

On Saturday, July 17th from 10am-1pm NCUWC will be hosting a watershed tour of the Kellogg-Mt. Scott Watershed.  We will be visiting:

NCUWC awarded Metro Nature in Neighborhoods Grant!

NCUWC was recently awarded a Metro Nature in Neighborhoods grant for $23,000 for work at the Turning Point Church and in North Clackamas Park through a partnership with North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District!  This fall and winter we will be hosting volunteer events to implement this project.  Stay tuned!

Clackamas Review covers NCUWC formation

A news article about the formation of the council has appeared in the Clackamas Review. The opening lines say it all!

There’s trouble in Clackamas County and a group of concerned residents wants to do something about it. Looking around the county, they discovered that water quality is poor, habitat is compromised by invasive species and tree canopies are disappearing.

September 16th Board meeting

The NCUWC monthly board meeting was held last Wednesday on the 16th of September. See agenda and minutes (will be posted soon) for more information about the meeting. NCUWC Board meetings are at 6PM on the third Wednesday of the month and the next meeting is on October 21st. All are welcome to join us! Three Creeks in the news!

Council member, Chris Runyard, has published an op-ed in the Clackamas Review concerning the Three Creeks Natural Area on Mt. Scott, Phillips, and Dean creeks.

Chris will be hosting a tour of the Three Creeks Natural Area this Saturday, August 29th at 10AM. Long pants and sturdy shoes are recommended. Send Chris an email at crunyard@msn.com to RSVP or just show up.
